USA Hammer thrower Gwen Berry protested by turning her back at the American flag while the National Anthem was playing. Activist Yeonmi Park, who comes from North Korea, condemned her actions as a demonstration of ingratitude to the liberty she has. The activist said the athlete would be executed along with her family if she did the same manifestation in North Korea, where there is real oppression.
