The government is set to give more money away to eligible child tax credit families. The monthly child tax credit payments are scheduled to start in the middle of July, with no clear end date. Families that are eligible will receive up to $300 per month for each child under the age of 6, and up to $250 per month for every child ages 6 through 17. By offering free tax help for those that are eligible for the child tax credit, the government is trying to incentivize people to file their taxes, which raises the question, where will this money come from?
