The Minnesota Supreme Court ruled that voters in Minneapolis can decide on whether to abolish the police department in the upcoming municipal elections. If passed, the measure would do away with the Minneapolis charter requirement to have a police department. Minneapolis would instead replace the police with a public safety department that “employs a comprehensive public health approach.” One should note that without serious law enforcement to enforce the law, then law itself will become irrelevant and anarchy will become inevitable, but only time will tell.
