In the wake of efforts by progressive activists to replace the age-old holiday of Columbus Day with “Indigenous Peoples Day,” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a declaration promoting the continuance of Columbus Day to celebrate the arrival of the Italian explorer Christopher Columbus who discovered America in 1492.
