An Afghan native who served as a U.S. soldier said he illegally crossed into Afghanistan from Pakistan to rescue individuals and family members. The anonymous former soldier reported at least 30 people escaped from the Taliban by his hand, including Christians and other religious minorities. Although safe for now, problems still exist for those rescued.
