An internal survey of nearly 6,000 NYPD officers found that 56% wish they never joined the force. One NYPD sergeant claims left-leaning politics are not allowing officers to aggressively fight crime in fear of unfair ramifications. The intolerable environment and substandard pay have many New York cops looking to get out as soon as possible.
