Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) created its own COVID-19 vaccination rules ahead of the state. LAUSD has followed through by firing 496 employees who refused to comply. The outcome for students remains in question as thousands have not complied with the district’s vaccination mandate for students. The deadline for students to be fully vaccinated is January 10, 2022.
