Talks for restoring the 2015 Iran nuclear deal were brief. Former talks broke off with European officials saying Iran’s demands were unrealistic. Saeed Khatibzadeh, a spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, stressed that Iran was only negotiating the lifting off of sanctions. It is expected the U.S. and Israeli defense chiefs will discuss possible military exercises that prepare for a worst-case scenario to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities.
