Objectivity 4.3 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.7

The Chinese Communist Party paid Washington, D.C. radio station WCRW $4.4 million to broadcast propaganda. The Virginia-based Potomac Media Group airs content from China Global Television Network (CGTN) that portrays China in a positive light. Their propaganda activities in the U.S. have escalated in recent years as they seek to divert attention from Communist China’s human rights abuses. WCRW has aired content from China Radio International since 1992 but, they were not required to register until 2019.
