Facebook permanently disabled the Heroes of Liberty account, a conservative children’s book publisher. They claimed Heroes of Liberty violated their rules against ‘Low Quality or Disruptive Content.’ Bethany Mandel, editor and board member, said, “to cancel children’s books because they celebrate American values that 90% of Americans believe in isn’t even anti-conservative bias, it’s anti-American…” It seems a small group of people responded negatively to the ads, which suggests that Facebook caved to their complaints. After Heroes of Liberty confronted the shutdown, the account was restored. Facebook told Congress it was an error.
