More than a thousand Albertans in hundreds of trucks and vehicles have descended on the U.S.- Canada border and stopped cross-border travel. Nick Friesen, a cross-border trucker for 20 years and one of the blockade organizers said, “We are focused on (Alberta Premier) Jason Kenney; either his government backs down on the mandates or we’re not moving.” Friesen said they plan a two-week stay at the border but will hunker down longer if necessary.
