A Muslim terrorist listed on the FBI’s terror watchlist was released into the United States after illegally crossing the border in November. FBI described Issam Bazzi as a person with “high derogatory information” and ties to an unspecified terrorist group. However, in violation of U.S. Federal Code, ICE Headquarters ordered Bazzi released because he is overweight, making him susceptible to covid-19. Bazzi and his family are now living in Dearborn, Michigan awaiting a March asylum hearing.
