Bill Introduced Giving Preeminence to U.S. Southern Border Over Ukraine

Objectivity 4.0 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.9

Rep. Matt Rosendale introduced legislation called Secure America’s Border First Act that would block expenditure and military assistance to Ukraine until the U.S. southern border is secured. Rosendale believes the U.S. “has no legal or moral authority to come to Ukraine’s aid.” Sen. Bill Hagerty tweeted, “Biden is unwilling to defend our southern border, yet he’s willing to send troops overseas to protect another nation’s border.” While Rep. Madison Cawthorne said in December “until we get our own southern border secured, I don’t give a damn about the border conflict in Ukraine.”
