According to CNN, Joe Biden will nominate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, fulfilling a campaign promise to select the first black woman to sit on the high court. There is some expectation of a smooth confirmation in the U.S. Senate. However, in the past higher courts overturned some of Jackson’s high-profile rulings. Some speculate she might be willing to ignore the law in politically charged cases.
