Objectivity 4.0 | Credibility 4.3 | Relevance 4.8

Senate Bill 2113 passed the Mississippi Senate by a 32-2 vote and is sitting on the governor’s desk to be signed into law. The bill would ban public universities and colleges, community colleges, and public and public charter K-12 schools from teaching students that any sex, race, ethnicity, religion, or national origin is superior to any other. Another facet of the bill is that the Department of Education would be prohibited from releasing funding to entities under its jurisdiction for any violations of the act.
