Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez explained to her followers on Twitter why a no-fly-zone over Ukraine would be a bad idea. “…most Americans probably don’t know that declaring a no-fly zone is essentially tantamount to a declaration of war,” Cortez said. A no-fly-zone means that the U.S. would have to shoot down every Russian plane over Ukraine, which would probably cause World War III.
