The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced via email a forthcoming reform of the agency. The proposed overhaul will be based on a one-month review to kick off an evaluation of CDC’s structure, systems, and processes. The CDC Director handpicked a leader to perform the evaluation, and three CDC officials will also conduct the review. The question is how did the country (U.S.) that ranked first in pandemic preparedness in 2019, under the leading of the CDC, fail when it was time to act?
