New Tennessee Bill Will Cause Drunk Drivers to Think Twice

Objectivity 4.7 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.6

Tennessee lawmakers in both the Senate and House passed House Bill 1834, that will require drunk drivers who kill parents to pay child support. Under the bill, drunk or impaired drivers convicted of vehicular homicide would be ordered to pay child support to each of the victim’s children until they’re 18 years old and graduate high school. The bill is now headed to Governor Bill Lee’s desk for his expected signature.
