Kenosha Meeting For Proposed Memorial Prompts Opposition

Objectivity 4.2 | Credibility 4.5 | Relevance 4.5

A meeting of the five-person Kenosha Parks Commission held on Monday tabled a proposal to place a memorial tree and plaque in honor of Anthony Huber, a protestor who was shot while chasing Kyle Rittenhouse on August 25, 2020.  Kenosha residents attended the meeting to express their opposition to the memorial.  Kevin Mathewson, a former Kenosha alderman, said, “…and to memorialize a man who lived a life of violence and crime, and who was one of the ones contributing to the rioting and looting is just unfathomable.”
