NC Introduces Bill to Bar Curriculums That Teach Gender Identity & Sexual Orientation to K-3 Students

As Florida led the way, North Carolina lawmakers followed by introducing a bill that would bar curriculums that teach kindergarten through 3rd grade students about sexual orientation and gender identity.  It is an updated version of HB 755 requiring public schools to inform parents of information about their child’s health, privacy, and education.  During the pandemic when learning went remote, parents started becoming more aware of what is being taught, said North Carolina Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger (R).
