On Tuesday, a warning bulletin from the National Terrorism Advisory System was sent by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that a “heightened threat environment” is to be expected over the next several months.  Domestic terrorists and foreign adversaries who seek to promote acts of violence and create discord in the U.S. are being monitored by DHS.  Possible targets listed in the bulletin are “public gatherings, faith-based institutions, schools, racial and religious minorities, government facilities and personnel, U.S. critical infrastructure, the media, and perceived ideological opponents.”
