Red River Trust, a group tied to Bill Gates, acquired six parcels of land in Pembina County, North Dakota. The Attorney General of North Dakota’s office sent a letter requesting proof that the company’s use of the land does not violate the state’s Corporate Farming Laws. This comes after complaints reached the Agricultural Commissioner, Doug Goehring, according to Valley News Live. He said, “Those people are upset, but there are others that are just livid about this.”
