Pelosi Receives Holy Communion at the Vatican

Objectivity 4.2 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.6

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi received Holy Communion while attending a papal Mass at the Vatican Wednesday, despite being barred from receiving Communion by San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone for her pro-abortion stance.  He wrote in a public notification, “A Catholic legislator who supports procured abortion, after knowing the teaching of the Church, commits a manifestly grave sin which is a cause of most serious scandal to others.”  Pope Francis presided over the Mass while Pelosi was seated in a VIP diplomatic section of St. Peter’s Basilica.
