Dutch Farmers Dump Manure on Government Buildings in Protest of Climate Change Plan

Objectivity 4.7 | Credibility 4.9 | Relevance 4.9

Farmers in the Netherlands are protesting their government’s climate change plan by blocking highways and supermarkets with farm equipment and even spraying manure over government buildings. The government’s climate plan to reduce nitrogen oxide and ammonia emissions by 50% over the next eight years will severely impact the jobs and stability of the farmers, as well as the food supply around the world. Dutch police utilized tear gas, police dogs, and even armored tanks to try and put a stop to the protests.
