Russia and Ukraine Reach Agreement to Resume Grain Export

On Friday, Russia and Ukraine reached an agreement as Turkey and the United Nations (UN) mediated to continue safe passage of grain and fertilizer as the threat of global food shortages rises.  The Wall Street Journal reported that negotiations resulted in the reopening of the Black Sea from the Russian blockade.  Russia and Ukraine did not sign the same agreement directly, but forged parallel accords with the UN and Turkey.
