Biden’s Executive Order: Medicaid Funding for Out of State Abortions

In an attempt to bypass the Supreme Court’s recent overturning of Roe v. Wade, Biden signed a new executive order that authorizes the use of Medicaid funds to assist women traveling to pro-abortion states to receive the procedure.  Some legal experts question whether this order will violate the Hyde Amendment, which restricts federal funds for abortion, except in cases of rape, incest or saving the life of the mother.
