The Department of Justice revealed on Wednesday that an Iranian operative had been charged with trying to arrange the assassination of former National Security Adviser John Bolton.  According to former US officials, the timing of the disclosure suggests the Biden administration stayed silent about Tehran’s terrorist activities to save ongoing nuclear talks with Iran.  The DOJ unsealed the indictment against Shahram Poursafi two days after negotiators in Vienna settled on a “final text” of an agreement.
