During the pandemic, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich, profited from rental income despite pushing to cancel rent through a bill she cosponsored alongside fellow “Squad” members of Congress.  The bill was to “institute a nationwide cancellation of rents and home mortgage payments through the duration of the coronavirus pandemic.”  Tlaib’s annual financial disclosure reports revealed she collected between $30,000 and $100,000 from rental property during the pandemic.
