Afghanistan’s Condition One Year After Taliban Takeover

A year after the American withdrawal from Afghanistan, life for the average Afghani has seen little improvement.  Many businesses remain closed and jobs are scarce.  The number of Afghans who depend on aid for food has doubled to nearly 20 million people which is about half of the population. Many Afghans still seemingly support the Taliban’s rule, yet there is some dissent on issues such as women’s rights and the ban on girls attending secondary school.
