A notable turn in the culture wars comes as revenue for R-rated films is reported at a 25-year low according to Axios, as films with graphic nudity and violence are being pushed to at-home streaming. Most movies that were shown in the past two years were rated PG-13 and all the ones that grossed over $100 million in 2021 were PG-13.
