Survey Reveals Half of US Companies Plan To Freeze or Cut Jobs

Based on a new survey published by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), more than half of companies who responded have instituted hiring freezes and many are planning to reduce the number of employees in the near future. Almost half are also planning to reduce or even eliminate hiring bonuses.  “Respondents are also taking proactive steps to streamline the workforce and establish the appropriate mix of worker skills for the future,” the survey revealed.
