3 Russian Refineries Taken Over By Germany

The German government has taken temporary control of two companies and three associated refineries from the Russian oil company Rosneft just over three months before an EU embargo of Russian oil imports. The refineries are all located in Germany and represent a substantial portion of Germany’s fuel refining capacity.  The move comes as Germany and other countries are seeking alternatives to importing oil from Russia.
