Meloni, Conservative Alliance Favored In Upcoming Italian Elections

Objectivity 4.6 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.6

Giorgia Meloni and her party, Brothers of Italy, are expected to win 25% of the vote in the upcoming Italian elections on September 25th according to the latest polls. Along with other conservative parties, Meloni’s party is expected to win a majority of seats and form a new government. And while Meloni is favored to be the next Italian prime minister, some critics say that she isn’t a shoo-in for the job, especially given her lack of high-level political experience. While some Italians see her as being in the vein of a Margaret Thatcher, others compare her to the former Italian far-right leader, Benito Mussolini.
