Objectivity 4.7 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.8

Potential Candidates for British Prime Minister have begun to emerge after the resignation of Liz Truss.  The first to announce candidacy was House of Commons leader Penny Mordaunt.  Many people consider Rishi Sunak a potential candidate, who lost to Truss in September in the final party election.  Another potential candidate, though some consider him a wildcard, is Boris Johnson, who resigned as Prime Minister on July 7 amidst controversy, and who still faces an inquiry as to whether or not he lied to Parliament. Nominations for the office close Monday afternoon and a final election is due to be completed by Friday, October 28.
