The Biden Administration is funding research to analyze the adverse effects of hormone therapy drugs and puberty blockers on transgender children, while advocating for the same experimental treatments. “The intersection of sex, gender and [cardiovascular disease] is underscored by recent observations that transgender individuals undergoing gender-affirming sex hormone therapy are at increased [cardiovascular disease] risk,” one study finds. In the face of these resolutions, the White House claims that state bans on transgender treatments are but “bullying disguised as legislation” and an attack on “lifesaving health care.”
