President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet face to face next week at the Group of 20 summit in Indonesia. Expected on the agenda is how to maintain diplomatic ties even in the midst of increasing tensions between the two countries. Other topics will include trade, and how the countries can work cooperatively “where our interests align” with an emphasis on recent geopolitical upheavals. This will be the first meeting between the two since Biden took office.
