DEA Says Cartels Target Children With Colored Fentanyl Pills, But Cartel Operatives Deny It

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration has warned about new rainbow-colored fentanyl pills designed by the cartels to target younger consumers.  However, operatives in the Sinaloa Cartel, the Mexican criminal organization behind the biggest shipments of fentanyl to the U.S., told Insider their intention is actually to identify those pills as fentanyl so they are not mixed with other drugs.  According to operatives, China and Germany illegally import the chemicals.  Once they reach Mexico, they are cooked and sent to the U.S.
