Democrat Sen. Mark Kelly (AZ) claimed that members of his own party are “not even close” to understanding the issues on the U.S. border. The senator wants to achieve a “middle ground” approach to the border, where authorities neither “demonize” nor overlook immigrants. “We have to do more in border security. We have to do more in comprehensive immigration reform, especially ‘dreamers,’ but also these visa programs,” he stated.
