Fauci Unable to Cite Valid Study to Support Why He Changed Mask Recommendations

On November 23 during a deposition, lawyers who were in attendance reported that while Dr. Anthony Fauci was under oath, he was unable to cite any study that prompted him to reverse course regarding wearing masks to prevent COVID-19.  Early in the pandemic, Fauci, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director, repeatedly urged asymptomatic people not to mask, saying it “is not really effective in keeping out virus,” but two months later he recommended wearing masks regardless of symptoms.
