Elon Musk Says Neuralink Brain Implants Ready for Humans

Objectivity 4.8 | Credibility 4.8 | Relevance 4.8

On Wednesday Elon Musk presented a new advancement in Neuralink’s technology for brain-computer interface.  A patient receiving the implant has part of the skull removed and wires threaded into brain tissue.  A function of the technology is to restore vision in a person who has lost their sight or was born blind.  Another function of the device is to restore “full body functionality” to patients with severed spinal cords.  Musk is confident the device is “ready for humans” and could be available in six months pending FDA approval.
