As a provision for peace talks to begin, Russia rejected the condition of withdrawing its troops from the 10-month-long war with Ukraine. Though Russian President Vladimir Putin rejected the demand that both American President Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz support, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reiterated that Putin remains open to talks but without the pre-condition.
