Two North Korean teenagers, considered to be 16 or 17, were publicly executed by firing squad for watching and distributing South Korean movies, according to two witnesses who told the story to Radio Free Asia. “Hyesan residents gathered in groups at the runway,” one of the witnesses said. “The authorities put the teen-aged students in front of the public, sentenced them to death, and immediately shot them.” In recent years, the North Korean regime has become increasingly concerned about South Korean contents spreading throughout the country through thumb drives and SD cards.
