Elon Musk fired lawyer James Baker, Twitter’s deputy general counsel, over his “possible role in suppression of information important to the public dialogue” concerning the Hunter Biden Laptop story back in 2020. Musk said Baker gave an “unconvincing” explanation for his wrong doings when confronted. Baker is the former FBI lawyer who was a key player in the investigation of alleged Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. Presidential election. Forensic analysis by multiple media outlets deemed the documents from the laptop as genuine, but Baker argued it “reasonable for us to assume” it contained hacked material.
