Bari Weiss tweeted Matt Taibbi’s second drop on Twitter: “Thread: The Twitter Files Part Two. Twitter’s Secret Blacklists.” According to the thread, Weiss revealed that “teams of Twitter employees” built blacklists that were used to throttle trending content they didn’t want to be seen. Accounts such as Charlie Kirk, Dan Bongino, and Jack Posobiec were be placed on “search blacklists,” “trends blacklist,” or “do not amplify.” Weiss wrote, “‘We control visibility quite a bit. And we control the amplification of your content quite a bit. And normal people do not know how much we do,’ one Twitter engineer told us.”
