An international donor conference in Paris comprised of dozens of countries and international relief organizations, hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron, has pledged over 1 billion euros of relief to Ukrainians facing an oncoming winter. Many Ukrainians are without power and other necessities such as food and even shelter as Russia continues to target Ukrainian power, water and other essential infrastructure. The news comes as U.S. officials say that the Pentagon is close to approving the deployment of Patriot Missile Defense Systems to Ukraine.
