Federal Judge John F. Kness has approved a $10 million settlement for Illinois healthcare workers who filed a class-action suit after being fired for not receiving the COVID vaccine or those who were denied religious exemptions.  North Shore University Health System will compensate more than 500 workers who were fired or forced to take the vaccine. Those who were fired will receive $25,000 and those who took the vaccine will receive $3,000. Mat Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, who represented the healthcare workers said,  “It is especially significant and gratifying that this first classwide COVID settlement protects healthcare workers.”
