Thursday morning after 6 failed votes, Elon Musk tweeted his support for Kevin McCarthy saying, “Kevin McCarthy should be Speaker.” Along with Musk’s endorsement, McCarthy has also been backed by former President Donald Trump. Without a new House speaker, the 118th Congress cannot proceed with their duties. McCarthy is confident he is making “progress” but it seems the voting process will drag on and the GOP will be unable to cut a deal.
