The New York Supreme Court sentenced Trump Corporation and Trump Payroll Corporation to pay $1.6M for tax-fraud felonies. Former President Trump was found blameless of any financial fraud but the charges fell on the company’s former finance chief Allen Weisselberg. A spokesperson for the Trump Organization stated that they would appeal the verdict, saying the case was “unprecedented and legally incorrect.”
