After the passing of Pope Benedict XVI on New Year’s Eve, a book was published of 16 essays he wrote that warn of propaganda and woke ideology infiltrating the West. It was his wish for the book to be released only after his death. It was written to alert people, particularly Catholics, about a “radical manipulation of human beings” and “the distortion of the sexes by gender ideology.” He expressed that cultural intolerance against Christianity “has not yet turned into open persecution … it manifests itself in an increasingly authoritarian way with the aim of achieving, by appropriate legislation, the eradication of what is essentially Christian.”
