The Department of Justice presented charges against two people for spray-painting threatening messages on pregnancy centers in Florida. Caleb Freestone and Amber Smith-Stewart vandalized the facilities to intimidate the doctors that offer aid and guidance on unplanned pregnancies. Both offenders could undergo a sentence of 12 years in jail for breaking the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act. Under the act, individuals cannot “intentionally [damage] or [destroy] the property of a facility … because such facility provides reproductive health services…”
